Mardi Gras Mask Making Workshop
The next installment of Unplugged Crafting at NUNUs on Wed, Feb 26
Need to make a Mardi Gras mask?
Do you want some tips on designing face coverings this done smoosh your nose, allow you to drink, and not poke your eyes out en route?
Join us Wednesday (Feb 26) from 5:30-8 at NUNUs Art and Culture Collaborative in Arnaudville for a free craft night where we will make masks, work on costumes, or generally decorate for carnival.
The goal is for us to craft independently, but together in the same room.
We will give each others style tips, design advice, and a bit of conversation. The event is open to adults and kids who are independent/chill enough to hot glue without support.
We will have some window screen, visors, and hot glue provided. We ask that you bring an old rag or unwanted clothing item that you can cut into strips and share with others- kind of like a cloth potluck. There will also be some sort of light dinner, and we will be spinning some records from carnival traditions.
This event is part of the Unplugged Crafting, an ongoing series of craft nights I produce with the Strother School of Radical Attention.
